Luke has recently been steering every single conversation he has to “I played in the Go-Betweens”. He didn’t. Don’t listen to him. But he did play a whole lot of GoBees songs with ex-GoBees, helping them celebrate 30 Years since one of Australia’s greatest records “16 Lovers Lane”. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun. They sold out QPAC Concert Hall. Robert was there. He liked it. Guest singers included Zoe & Tim from Cub Sport, Jen & Sam from Ball Park Music, Kirin J Callinan, Montaigne, Steve Kilbey, Ron Peno and more. Here’s a photo to prove it.

LDP and the boys have officially begun recording tracks for album number 2. It’s happening at The Shed in Brisbane, where Screamfeeder and Violent Soho (and heaps of other sweet bands) have recently recorded. The album is being produced by Wayne Connolly (You Am I, The Vines, The Go-Betweens, Sonic Youth, Halfway, Josh Pyke, Boy & Bear, loads more) and it’s sounding real, real good.
